From Beth Olen
Check the websites just before traveling to confirm the guidelines about what can be carried on (i.e. liquids, meds, etc.). These are changing.
For now, the maximum weight for all checked bags is 50 lbs. (It's actually 51 for British Air)
Maximum dimensions for checked luggage: H + W + L = 62 inches
Maximum dimensions for carry-on baggage: 22 in x 17.5 in x 9.85 in. You must be able to lift your carry-on baggage into the overhead bins without assistance.
A laptop of briefcase is allowed as a second piece of carry-on baggage, but a purse is considered the one piece of carry-on baggage. Go figure.

Great info, Beth. Thank you.
Regarding carry-ons (purses vs. briefcases/laptops): Didn't some of you women from last year's GoTeam take 2 carry-on pieces -- a small suitcase AND a "purse"?
